My haircut

My very first real haircut... let me explain.
When I was born my hair was dark-dark brown. It grew and some fell out. BUT one piece. There was one section (a little group of hairs) on the side of my head that never did anything. It just kept growing. Finally I was about 4 inches and the rest of my hair was only one. So mom took me to Danette her hair dresser to cut it off. If you want to be technical, this is my second but first WHOLE head hair cut.
I was not so sure about scissors coming near my head, as you can see. Mommy took me so that my hair would have 'shape', or so she explains my trama. But my hair does look better now. Danette refused to give me bangs because she called it a down-hill spiral of the eternal bang. So Mommy trusted her and puts clips in my hair until it's long enough. Mommy kept the hair from my hair cut and I got a cookie. I think I got the better deal!

Bye Bye Kevin and Gina

Daddy's co-workers, Kevin and Gina, left for Wisconsin. We went to the beach to see them off. It was wonderful. The sunset was amazing. And I was mesmorized by the sound of the waves. Mom and Dad thought about getting me a noise machine for my room since I liked it so much.

Pumpkins! Pumpkins!

Our pumpkin adventure began at Irvine Park. This facility is amazing! There's a bounce house, face painting, the train, and a corn maze. We had a great time. I found it fascinating with all the pumpkins in one place. It was just like the book that mom read to me. Mom, Dad and I posed for a picture but I wouldn't stay still so we all look kinda funny!
There were two things I loved about the pumpkin patch. The first was these really cool photo head things. I played peek-a-boo with other little kids, and daddy. Mommy loves this photo.

My other most favorite activity was the train. I was mesmorized.

The next week Mom and I chaparoned Grandma's field trip to the pumpkin patch. This time we went to Tanaka Farms. It was fun but WAY too hot! Mommy hadn't expected the change in weather and we were both miserable. However, it started great. I got to try a petting zoo. I picked veggies and I picked my own pumpkin off the vine. That was nifty. I think I could be a farmer :)

Apple Picking!

So my family and I went up to Glen Oak, CA to go apple picking. As you can tell from the photos, I liked this activity a lot! Especially because I ate about 8 apples while we were picking them from the tree. Mommy said I was stealing so she didn't fill the bags all the way full.

My favorite part was the 'band'. They were rockin! My new friend and I danced until it was time for our naps!

Everyone had so much fun that we will definitely be doing that again next year!

USC vs Oregon

So we got to the game early. I was having so much fun! Dad let me ride on his shoulders. When I heard the fight song I was hopping up and down. Tommy the Trojan was super cool and I thought he was worth cheering for!

I got my very first USC cheerleader outfit. Mom says that there will be more to come and that this is only the beginning. Daddy thought I was SOOO cute. So did grandma and grandpa, and the rest of the USC girls walking around that day! I basked in the love and adoration :)

Just loving the life of having a pass. It is definately worth every penny. I love it!

The first USC game of the season

So mom, grandma, and pa-pa took me to the USC vs Ohio game. It was really fun! I loved playing with the pom pom (uh-oh) and I really liked watching Traveler. He came out a bunch that game. But once we were up by 5 touchdowns Mom decided it was time to take me home. I really had a lot of fun. It was overwhelming with ALL those people. Mom said it was busier than homecoming. I hope that this Saturday will be just as fun!

Jack... a dog of many trades...

Today I discovered that Jack was a very useful puppy. See, I spilled all my goldfish crackers...

I decided that I would eat them off the floor. Once I was full, and I was tired of listening to mommy tell me 'no', I crushed them with my feet.

Then I had an idea! I'd use Jack as a vacuum and clean them up. It worked great!!

After Jack finished cleaning up, I decided to help Grandma bake. Apparently Jack can do that too!

We had fun! But I can do something he can't (well he hasn't tried yet)

Some Older Pictures and Events

July 10th... I love waterfountains... especially the kind that splash in my face. I was completely soaked and had to drive home naked>>>oops! But it was so much fun!

So I saw my very first movie in big screen on July 23rd. It was Elmo in Grouchland. I was mesmorized. It was amazing. I sat very still on Mom's lap and danced through the singing. I had so much fun!

Riding the Carousal

We went to South Coast Plaza to get some new shoes and it was Kid's weekend. There were singing clowns and balloon people. I went to Rainforest Cafe and didn't want to eat it was so cool! The giant butterfly was my favorite. Before lunch, Mommy and I went on the carousal. It was really fun!

My trip to In-N-Out

Today, August 10th I had my very first In-N-Out cheese sandwich. OHHH it was yummy! Nothing was as cool as the hat though!

My Brother's Engaged!

I am so thankful that Ruth is going to be a part of our family. It's fun! Michael asked Ruth the day after they finished the bar. It was Ruth's 25th Birthday. She was surprised... but we knew :) We are so excited for them. We sent Michael and Ruth to DC for the year. We will miss them dearly but look forward to visiting soon. They will be getting married here in CA but are doing long-distance planning.

Catch 22

Okay so I woke up this morning at 5:45 in complete denial. I couldn't believe that I had to start school again already! But, that is was. The first day of school. It's so difficult to be at school knowing that my daughter is at home. Don't get me wrong she has a fabulous baby-sitter, grandma and grandpa. She is completely content and I know that but there's just something you miss. When I got home, she wanted to play peek-a-boo around our ottoman then kiss mommy! It was the best. But then there's the other side.
I love my job! It's awesome being with 33 11 year-olds teaching about anthropolosists :) But really. Seeing their smiles and knowing that they ARE someone's child and I am blessed with them too! I love it! But not more than Annabelle!
So now I'm off to bed to start again. But I only have to work on Thursdays and Fridays this year because I'm sharing a contract with another new mom. Horray!

Swim class

Annabelle had her first swim class on Tuesday. It was so fun! Daddy loves taking her to swim class. She loves the songs they sing at the beginning and the end, the fun climbing gym in the middle, but not all the underwater swimming.

Michael's Graduation

On May 20-something... we celebrated Michael's Law School graduation. He graduated with honors from Chapman Law School in Orange. It was a fabulous ceremony starting with a full set of bagpipes, followed by cool flags, then all the graduates. We got to watch Michael and Ruth walk across the stage and receive their JD. It was pretty amazing. We are very proud of them. Congratulations!
